I never really got why people like “Peanuts” so much. I mean, it can be kind of funny (especially when Rerun is introduced), but others are so much better, in my opinion. Calvin and Hobbes, on the other hand, deserves all it’s praise.

Peanuts was in a zombie mode for so many years. I really like the early peanuts — its humor was different from what the strip later became. You should try to get a copy of the Peanuts reprints published by Fantagraphics. The first book (1950-1952) shows you a whole different side of the comic.

I have at times wondered this myself, especially when I ask myself why I like it. The answer is that I don’t really know. There’s just something about the strip that is…timeless, I guess.

Still, I’m with you on Calvin and Hobbes.

I don’t read most reruns. I read these because I missed most of them the first time around. I read 2 Cows and a Chicken for the same reason.

The point is, “My Cage” didn’t have as big a chance to hit the strips because of so many outdated comics taking up room. I would love to see new "My Cage toons and not just the reruns.
