Is it because he made song called “Mo Money, Mo Problems” with Puff Doggy and Mou$e, thus making people think that financial planning and proper spending habits are a terrible idea?

Bush? How about Jimmy Carter’s housing bill followed up by Bill Clinton’s push to expand it. Created the housing bubble that just happened to crash during Bush’s term.

Are you arguing with a cartoon character? :) This is one reason why Archie Bunker couldn’t be on tv now a days.

Here is a question that I’ve been going back and forth on emails about: Should we try and do something with ‘My Cage’ in the future? My take currently is, ‘My Cage’ came out, we had a small but REALLY loyal fandom (for which I thank you), but ultimately we failed so time to move on from ‘My Cage’. Not being negative. I love the strip, and loved doing it, but you have to be realistic, right? What are your thoughts? If ‘My Cage’ did continue, how would you like to see it do so? Or. do you think it’s best we just leave it as it is. As always, you can write us at mycagecomic@yahoo.com if you want.

In my way, I’m probably guilty of some of the same things as the blue-haired old ladies who don’t want legacy strips pulled, even though they’re on their tenth artistic team: I’m slow to warm to new things. My first impulse is to say “Make new My Cage strips!”, and that might not be the best thing for you and Melissa. On the other hand, it might be an easier sell. If you come up with a new strip you’d rather do, I’d at least give it a shot because I’m convinced that you two produce a good product. If you’re doing what you believe in, and enjoy doing it, I think you stand the best chance that the quality of it will get through.

Particularly if it’s true, as some are now saying, that webcomics are beginning to triumph over newspaper comics. We could be seeing the dawn of a forum change, but so far it’s favoring a relative few who were in the right place at the right time with the right content, and there seem to be any number of good-enough strips that are slowly sinking while they try to figure out where the money part comes in.

I seem to have said nothing in a lot of words. Best I stop now, before I enter negative territory.

The selfish me would love to have more My Cage comics produced BUT what me and the others out there “in TVland” need to think about is Melissa and Ed first. They are the ones that need to be able to provide for themselves. Now if this could be a second job like it is for Jenner of the web comic “Doc Rat By Jenner” then I would love it but if working on an obligation to get a web comic out cause one to loss a paying gig then no way.

CONTINUE! I didn’t read to the end of the original run so I’ll have to leave the suggestions to others. Is there a collection available?

The fair housing bill wasn’t behind the housing bubble. It was banks tricking people into getting houses they can’t afford that did it. Then they foreclose on them—-now that is the huge scandal and scam you totally miss. Easier to attack the ones who were bilked it seems.

I would like the strip to come back. But if you think you have a better one then lay it on us.

The mortgages that were issued under the Community Redevelopment Act defaulted at a much lower rate than the ones issued by the sub-prime lenders – the blame lies with the sub-prime lenders and the rating agencies that let them repackage the mortgages as AAA.

The rating agencies that let them repackage the mortgates as AAA…because Fanny and Freddy essentially ordered them to.

Do you seriously think that a bank’s business plan includes a section about getting rich off mortgage foreclosures?
