Jeff apparently went through a period of more casual dress, before returning to his formal wear and top hat in later years.

Here in NYC, nobody pays attention to red lights or “Don’t Walk” signs.
If there are no cars coming, we just cross the street.
That’s what being a “New Yorker” is all about.

Yes… Jeff does have a point.
What’s the officer getting so steamed up about? Jeff was RUNNING not walking!
If he can’t do that… There should be a ’Don’t Run’ sign too.
Or maybe even a ’Don’t Breathe’ sign.
OK… I’ll stop now.

If a sign says “No shirt, no shoes, no service”, does that mean no pants is OK?

Don’t you just hate people who don’t bother pressing the lights?
These days it’s worse with so many iphones etc to distract ‘em.
I nearly missed my stop on a train because the people in front of me were too busy texting to press the button that operated the doors!
It’s really beginning to get creepy and I know how Donald Sutherland felt like in Invasion Of The Body Snatchers!
(Kevin McCarthy to you, Quartermain.)

Do you city people really have signs that tell you not to walk?? Heck, here tractors score points by hitting people crossing the road! Walking with a cane—-two points. Crutches—five!

I tried pulling the same stunt as Jeff but still received a warning. At least no ticket.

I remember a Wile E Coyote cartoon that was made for “The Electric Company” (1970s); a crossing signal in the desert said things like “Don’t walk”, “Skip”, “Laugh”, etc., and Wile E obliged.

So good, they remade it twice! Link.
