Yes, This is the last Mulligan! My wife thought I should re-post all the old strips from the beginning and create a true “mulligan” starting this Thursday.

This was tough to stop, but there’s only so much time in a day. The toy design side of my work outpaces the cartooning side so much I had to make a decision. Simply put, designing toys, for me at least, pays very well… cartooning, not so much. But like most arts, if you’re good at it, people will pay you and for me the demand is on the toy side of things.

For those of you who didn’t know, prior to Mulligan I did a strip called “plugged in” about a boy who wears hearing aids. Three books were published. To this day I still get tremendous fan support and notes of thanks from teachers, students and parents. I’ve decided that if I’m going to put energy into one comic, it should be that one. The audience is there, so my goal over the next year is to put up an official “plugged in” comic site, since that is the most common compliant about the strip. I don’t post it anywhere. FYI, I did submit “plugged in” for syndication, but it was turned down by all.

Thank you all for checking out “Mulligan”!! Thank you to Universal Go Comics for the opportunity!!!!

I will now go get my celebratory shake! ;)

    All the best,
    Pete McEachen

Thanks so much for a delightful strip, and thank you for having folks with hearing difficulty in the strip. I’m hearing impaired, one ear is for decorative purposes only, and the other one does pretty good considering. I’m going to find your books and toys, and I hope ’Mulligan" comes out as a book.

The strip ending reminds me of the way Calvin and Hobbes ended – off into the beyond of another realm of adventure. They set out with your blessings, the readers’ blessings, and full hearts of gratitude and appreciation all round.
