    I’m thinking of two “security guards” who should be fired; but, then, St Francis was the forgiving type….

    I used to put wax paper over newspaper comic, rub it with a spoon or something and the image would be reproduced on the paper. My mom would then wrap my sandwiches in it and
    I’d pass the funnies around the lunch table……..

    Ah! Now I know why faces are looking so unnatural pale in contrast to the rich colours of the surroundings on old paintings in US-American museums…

    Darn, I think I’ve seen pictures of that original painting of St. Francis before, but I can’t find it on a search. Any experts recognize it so I can search by artist?

    Is that St. Dominic in the second panel?

    @lohaces

    The painting is St Francis in prayer with Two Angels by Guido Reni, 1631.

    And no, I’m not an expert in Baroque art. I actually took this screenshot of the zoomed-in strip and passed it through Google Images:

    Using the same technique, I can confirm that it is, indeed, Saint Dominic behind Moondog in the second panel.
