Back in the first half of the 1970’s, there were no bicycle helmets. Bicycling Magazine back then recommended a hockey helmet for serious bikers. My how times have changed.

Back in the first half of the 1970s, professional hockey players didn’t wear helmets, either. I remember goalies without masks!

Back in the 1970’s there were no helmets for hockey nor cycling. Certainly not for football (soccer).
