And BTW, we are on track for another period of glaciation in about 10K years, and nothing humans are doing or will do can prevent that. Posthumans, maybe, but not us.

“And the biggest fish is communism/socialism feeding off the work of others.” What is it you think the rich and powerful do in this country? What do they produce? There is solid economic research showing that the financial system has a negative effect on the economy. You go ahead and keep worshipping your false idols.

This cartoon would also apply by substituting “political power” for ’Capitalism" – witness Zimbabwe and North Carolina.

0.8 C = 33.44 F only if you’re talking about a static temperature (“Today’s low is 0.8 C.”). Your source is referring to CHANGES in temperature, in which case a 0.8 C change equals a 1.44 F change. And if you don’t want to believe me, just answer this question for yourself: what is the temperature in Fahrenheit when it’s 0 degrees Celsius?

    “X” marks the spot!
The only real factor at play is the structure of power within an organization. Ideology, whether leftist or rightist, globalist or isolationist, even capitalist or socialist, is all pure bunk.
Either one can work to varying degrees within its own sphere. But what most defines the success of one group or another is not the ideology to which they subscribe, but the fundamentals of power.
By need, an autocracy MUST take from the masses – to impoverish and diminish them – or order for the ruling elite (and the autocracy) to prosper. For them, there is no other way, and all other roads lead to destruction. Which is why any ideology that seeks to make change will ultimately be subverted to the needs of the autocracy. It will become an engine of destruction to debase and enslave the masses. Change the mask; the Beast remains the same.
To the contrary, a democratic power structure forces the leadership to act for the benefit of the largest voting block or it will perish before those who do. And even those who oppose the majority will benefit, as democratic strictures and shifting interests make it almost impossible to tailor the distribution of benefits to just one narrow group – everyone must get a taste.
This is what makes democracies so powerful – they destabilize the leadership by subjecting it to the vacillating whims of the voting public. And when the leadership acts to fulfill those desires, the benefits are broadly spread, so even those opposed to government action are recipients of its largess. The voter wins, regardless of his support for the current leadership.

Wow dude. Try C x 1.8 for the equivalent and C x 1.8 +32 for the ambient temperature for the easiest way. Even my middle school students could handle that.
Wow dude. If you think the 5 major corporations (1 of which is News Corp) that own 90% of the media in this country are liberal you really are a RWNJ.

Such anger. From whence it comes and, better still, why?
What demons are you fighting, and why do you see their faces imposed on those you read here?
Do you gain the satisfaction that you seek? Or do you find that the emptiness from inside there still resides?
What do you seek to accomplish – and what do you think you accomplish?
