Elections, corporate-funded nonprofits, NGOs and CBOs, personal change, political pressure, culture-jamming, tinkering with the economy, green jobs, withdrawing our support, symbolic protests – all are offered up as options for dissent. None of them are sufficient; on the contrary, they serve to reinforce the system’s authority and the illusion of democracy.

Green jobs aren’t enough (they are employing more than the fossil fuel companies) but one can have a green empire too. And we want more freedom and equality within all societies especially our own.

A book.

@Pete Rogan
What we want is the best society possible. We don’t have it now. It was better in some ways in the 1970’s but not in others.

I can’t imagine Chavez not funding a book like this. Have you asked him?

So you’re basically offering a product to anyone who is willing to pay for it, people who are willing to pay more will receive more, and you won’t produce anything unless you are guaranteed a minimum level of funds. Congratulations, Stephanie, you are an entrepreneur in a capitalist system. Let’s all hear it for hypocrisy!

Yay for Capitalism!!!! Selling out to the highest bidder (but she will take as little as a dollar for her profession).

Yay again! $7180 in capitalist money to use these comics to produce an anti-capitalist book! The next book will be on irony.

You know what it says about your talent when you have to pay to have your scribblings published…

It has been 6 days since there has been a new cartoon. Is it over? On vacation? Hopefully the latter.

People would buy the domestic product if the perceived quality was as good as the Japanese and German vehicles…
Detroit refuses to produce a good car, instead concentrating on profits…..I do not know of a fix, other than an attitude adjustment….which is impossible.

Anyone hear of a woman getting killed in an anti-capitalism revolution in the past week?
