    I want to bring up a subject from a couple of weeks ago.
    Remeber when Bob Woodward was “threatened” by someone in the White House?
    This brought up a story about John Belushi.
    When Belushi died, his widow asked Woodward to do a biography of him.
    John Belushi’s friends thought the book was terrible.
    So another author, Tanner Colby went back and interviewed the same people and re-reported on John Belushi.
    The story came out in Slate, and I thought it was interesting.

    What else is new? We know Republicans are the sell out party. Why else would they be fighting regulaiton no matter how useful it is in the name of corporate profits (aka “jobs”).

    Ms Rand predicted that the US government would protect the grafters from their victims, instead of protecting victims from the grafters. Bush, Jr and Obama said that middle school economics proved that the bankers who caused the crisis had to be protected, had to have their bonuses guaranteed, or the US would go into a much worse depression than in ‘29 (because the government let some of THOSE bankers lose their jobs). So her prediction seems like an accurate diagnosis to me.

    The truth comes out. I think he said what he really wants to do. He doesn’t care about the fact that the Guv has never paid for hearing aids, yet expects the deaf to work at a job that will support him.
    likewise with the blind, the mentally ill, the crippled and the elderly, whom no one will hire. The are so afraid that someone will get one dime from them that is not truly needy, or that the needy can just pull themselves up on their own.

    Only if your mind is already made up. If you look a little farther and think a little bit, it’s not hard to see where most of the fat cats look for “dinner”. No one is their “King”. They want to rule our democracy.
