Except they stopped creating years ago and have been hoarding cash.

Tax China. See how far that gets us.

If the “job creators” can’t make money with the piles of cash, human assets and laws that they have to work with, then they aren’t worthy of the money to begin with.
.
Dem libs know that the government is better with money than the “job creators” are and that’s why they’re in power and the term “job creator” has become a cynical joke.

That is about as honest cartoon that I have seen in quite a while.

Interestingly, 75% of the manufactured goods bought in the U.S. are still made in the U.S., according to a recent Consumer Reports article.

We could impose tariffs on goods coming from China that are close to the tariffs they impose on US goods going there. That would take away the benefit of doing business there in the first place and possibly force companies to move the jobs back here to avoid the tariffs. So what if Walmart and Target have to raise their prices 5-8% to cover American wages.

@ARodney
Surely you jest. Consumer Reports became irrelevant years ago.
.
Go to your cupboard and check your canned goods, IF there is a country of origin it won’t be USA. Go to your closet, check your garments, IF there is a country of origin it won’t be USA. Check your electronics, IF there is a country of origin it sure isn’t USA.
I haven’t heard much about it lately but China actually challenged our country of origin or “Made In *” laws. Seems they don’t want us to know where our stuff is made.

Assuming you mean their funding our debt, get real. We have the predominant currency in the world. China has tried to start a new world currency to try and defeat America. But China won’t dump our dollars and won’t overtly damage the USA because they know if they do, and our money plunges in value, they lose big time on all their holdings.

Did you actually type that with a straight face and without falling on the floor? Yes, the government is so good with money it spends more then it takes in in taxes, it passes unfunded mandates without considering a source of funding, Congress has an 18% approval rating.
Damn they’re doing a fine job!
DrCanuck said, 5 months ago
Why don’t you start producing goods that the Chinese want to buy and get the capital flowing both ways?
My brother’s company started selling chewing gum in China and made a billion dollars. (But that’s just a Canadian solution.)

I’m with you 100%. Having reciprocal import-export tariffs should be a no-brainer. I don’t see why there should be any difference of opinion on this between Republicans and Democrats, or between conservatives and liberals.

But evidently there is, otherwise they would already be in place.

Surprisingly enough, there was a consumer report several weeks ago that a lot of Chinese consumers would much rather buy American products then Chinese products because the quality is better.
Go figure…
TheTrustedMechanic said, 5 months ago
@masterskrain
But how much more are they willing to pay for US made goods? The figure I keep hearing is Americans are willing to pay about 20% more for American made goods than the cheaper Chinese made junk.

The “job creators” never created any jobs. at least as long as Obama has been president.
they are trying to ruin him and so far have been pretty successful.
They have also very successfully ruined our nation and impoverished our people.
Imagine if the GOP was willing to be normal and play fair? We would be lots better off.

Reward the job creators so they won’t want to go to China. Give them tax breaks here.
