    DD, foxglove: AMEN! She, more than anything else, got me to the polls & voting for a major party candidate for the first time ever (I’ve always voted–just independant). She’s just that scary.

    rjvjelly pleased to meet you. My parents are from NYC and I was born in SF so I was born to be a liberal. Actually Obama won almost all the urban and border counties down here so we’re much more progressive than say Oklahoma where McCain won every single county.

    dallas, here in west michigan we have the most churches per capita, and usually are predominantly republican. i was raised as a liberal, hence some isuues growing up. we have a HUGE christian base, but they are trying to get all the homeless people off the streets tonight because of the cold. yet at least once a week i get a request for a donation from an area church to send missionaries to other countries to convert the “natives”. anyhoo, nice to meet you, and have a great january 20th
