   have yet to have anyone outside a polling place hand me money or promise me privilege for my vote; however, I live in a swing state and am suffering mightily from having to watch presidential candidates run distortions and lies at me on television. You can’t buy votes, but you can buy BS.

   Do as I do. Avoid network television. Conservatism leads to building pyramids or other monuments to the leaders, with no benefit to the other 99.999%

   I agree about avoiding television. The few good shows can be watched through iTunes. You don’t have multiple interruptions for ads. And no idiotic “reality” shows about disgusting people. Haven’t had any TV in years now and have a fine collection of movies and books. Getting rid of TV service was one of my most positive decisions.

    They do have some good shows. It’s the 8 minutes of ads between shows that are a pain, but at least they aren’t political.
