    The sequester was his idea. He threatens to VETO any bill that does not include the sequester. Yet he keeps blaming the right for the sequester.

    Get a court order forcing all members of Congress to attend Spend-A-Holics sessions followed by Pork-A-Holic sessions. Follow that up by making “How to Work a Whole Day” required reading succeeded by “How to Stop Just Putting In Time and Work a Whole Week”.

    What’s a dollar good for if you don’t spend it? That’s what it’s made for.

    Obama is all about the hype and blame.
    And yes Obama that is the tax payer money, and his grand kids and if you have your ways the grand-kids grand-kids money.

    @Gore Bane

    “Go ahead and sequester! That gigantic yawn you hear is coming from productive Americans who couldn’t care less!”

    Go ahead and yawn. Regardless of what gets cut, and how much, there will be job loss. If those cuts are not properly targeted, the job loss will be much less manageable and more traumatic to the general economy. And many “productive Americans” will not be yawning when they lose their jobs as a result of Congress not doing its own job.

    I’m glad that the pace is decreasing. In extrapolating the trend it only means that we will become Greece later rather that sooner.

    Mark my words that if these sequester cuts are made everyone will end up paying the price. Markets will roil, as gas prices will soar along with unemployment & long lines at the airports. Congress & Pres. Obama need to compromise & come up with a viable budget that won’t hurt the economy.

    Republican Governor Rick Scott cut $1.3 billion from the state budget last year.
    Now he is proposing an increase of $1 billion and calling himself the education governor. Morale among teachers, bus drivers, and college students is way down.
    If we have nationwide austerity, then morale is going to get worse and worse.

    Same here in Maine…Paul LePage cut a bunch of HHS jobs (a coworker instantly stopped liking Republicans after his girlfriend lost her job and had to move to Mass., so now he has to pay his entire mortgage), and now thinks we need to help the mentally ill. He did the same thing with school funding…cuts funds, then says our schools need help.
    Republican logic: cut funding for programs that need help because they’re not performing at your level of acceptability, then complain that they suck, give them back funding, and claiming it as your triumph.

    you are correct about that. It’s funny that the conservatives don’t mind making sure the mega-rich, the corporations and wall street having tax cut (those who make 90% of all the money), but are afraid the children, the disabled and the old and out of work will get spoiled.
