    It just occurred to me that I used to get up in the morning early, log onto GoComics and chuckle my way into the morning. Then I started reading more of the editorial cartoons. Then I started posting. I tried to remain above the name calling and finger pointing and be a “voice of reason,” posting facts when possible and adding substance to avoid just opinion. Then, like “I Play One On T.V.” I realized this is pretty much SSDD (same shit different day) and I was starting my day with an attitude too contentious to be healthy. So I’m out of here, at least for a while. Sincere wishes for a happy new year to you all…

    ^Let’s hope we can see a little more cooperation from Congress to contain some of the “fires” in the U.S. in 2013. Guys like Christie may be ready to take the gasoline cans away from some of them?

    Don’t go.
    You are a voice of reason. You bring class and a sense of responsibility to the forum.
    I aspire to post as you do, in a reasoned, respectful manner. You set a good example and it is noticed. I learn a lot from you and would really miss your informative posts. Please spend some time thinking it over and maybe just ignore the name-callers and those who post merely to insult.
    I wish this forum had a way for us to contact each other through the forum, maintaining our confidentiality because many times I wanted to acknowledge your posts without illiciting further comment from the name-callers. I understand how you feel. Sometimes it is depressing to see all the nastiness, but please just take a few days off and don’t go away permanently.
    Don’t let the bastards get you down.
