Hey, just about all of the news programs are pure entertainment these days. Edward R Murrow is spinning in his grave.

Those liberals at CBS sure were making up stuff about Obama. So he must not be liberal. Or something.

News outlets give the people what they want. We have shown we don’t care about geo-political implications. We don’t want to understand thousands of years of hatred and retribution in the Middle East, as long as we can see today’s actress’s “baby bump” or that fashion faux pas that someone wore to the Oscars.

As long as we are unwilling to care about real news, the news will give us pablum and titillation. And as long as we are willing to only watch “news” programming that reinforces our worldview, we’re going to get filtered and limited information with a heaping helping of attitude.

Actually, her track record is very in the middle. She’s investigated both sides of the aisle and done a pretty good job in my opinion. I wish her well and hope to hear from her soon.

Really? Maybe you can teach us how to fnd the truth in their “reporting”. I keep getting distracted by all of their eye rolling and drama filled terminology.

Try the BBC or Al Jazeera if you want news without so many misleading adjectives and news coverage that is not edited by what they choose to report.

To get through the FOX News BS, try
    http://crooksandliars.com/
    …or
    http://www.newshounds.us/
    .
Their motto is “We Watch FOX So You Don’t Have To”. Most wing-nuts are incapable of changing their minds (maybe they don’t have one), but their articles are not bloviating pundit opinion, but links to what FOX (and their pals) are up to.
    .
Republicans go nuts when facts are revealed.

Everyone’s got a point of view, some just argue it better
    .
Regardless of the truth? You’re just as bad as Harley. It reinforces my opinion that conservatives are all to happy to believe hate-filled propaganda.
    .
I dare you to look up those links. Afraid it’ll run smack-dab into your entrenched belief system?
    .
There are no “liberals” on FOX News, except for the staff dummies who are paid to refute nothing and nod their heads in agreement. When they do have an guest expressing an alternate viewpoint, they are outnumbered, shouted down, patronized, interrupted, have their mics cut, and the discussion is ultimately edited.
    .
    “Fair and Balanced”, my ass.
    .
And conservatives love it, apparently (for one thing) because they are incapable of critical thought.

    C word? You mean like:

    Cool
    Commendable
    Consistent
    Credible

None of which, I would agree, CBS is any longer.

    Conscientious

    Capable

    Cooperative

    Captivating

    Charming

    Cheerful

    Classy

    Chipper

    Cordial

    Correct

Let me save us both some time:

    http://www.positivewordsthatstartwith.com/2013/04/positive-words-that-start-with-c.html

    http://systemagicmotives.com/PositiveAdjectiveGlossary.htm

What’s really sad is this seems to be an actual website someone took time to create.

Besides, you have to give her some credit (Did I use ‘credible’? I did). She didn’t compromise her standards (not a ‘c’ word I would use). Maybe they aren’t standards you agree with, but it’s still commendable (see what I did there?), especially these days, when someone sticks to their guns. I don’t think anyone, even Ramierz, would call her a c^#!

    Thanks.

I’ll give you the point about someone calling her a C word. I should have written ‘she shouldn’t be called a C for sticking to her guns’.

It’s not that she is a talking head. I could care less about that. It’s that she appears to have left because she attempted to do a credible job as a reporter. However, that didn’t fit with CBS News’ political agenda. Between Fox News, MSNBC, NPR, and the New York Times (and all the other ones I could name), I’m just happy to see a journalist whose not willing to be the mouthpiece of one or the other party.

    @warjoski

As for Ramirez…I give him credit for being the most talented political cartoonist in terms of art. I’ll agree he is a staunch red. And he has his fair share of cartoons that are more about rhetoric and less about commentary. But then there are several Blue cartoonists you can say the same thing about.

The entire blue and red issue needs to be done away with in my opinion. The divide in this country runs along those lines more than any other these days. And that never makes for a good situation.
