    It’s an unconstitutional tax law.

American medical delivery to the masses was already an expensive failure. Which is why America has the most expensive system by far in the world, but some of the worst outcomes and lowest life expectancies of developed countries. Obamacare is trying to bring America up to world standards, despite severe partisan resistance.

Obamacare again? Sure, go for repeal vote no. 1,000 if you wish, Americans know that, with all of its shortcomings, can’t be worse than what we had, with coverage being denied on people right and left. How “Christian” is that? Where’s your “compassion”?

Dropping the tranny cost about 2,800 just on a car, wonder what the cost will be with Obama Care.

What do you call what companies are doing with Obama care? Sounds like we are still being screwed by those same companies and getting even worse return.

Obamacare is the biggest positive thing to happen in government since before Reagan. It is already helping my family. The cartoon is desperate wishful thinking from nihilists, but Obamacare is the law of the land, thank God, and cannot be repealed.

All this complaining and Obama care has not even started. Not one thing has changed and you are so sure it’s a mistake. The mistake is a 21 year old girl who came into Providence Hospital in Everett. She had stage 4 cancer. No insurance, no job, no parents and no money. She was treated because that’s what hospitals with a heart do. Then a month later, 2 million dollars worth of care she passes away. Now if she had come in at 18 when the first symptom
showed up she would be alive and well because she had Breast Cancer and it’s curable in early stages. She would not have spent near the amount of money that was needed at the end and she would be alive to be a productive member of society. The hospital would not have to pass that fee on to all of us and loose money in the process. Yeah for the “Liberals” who want this and who will not be intimidated by the few selfish Republicans and Tea Party members who do not care about human life after it’s out of the womb.

I’m confused. Who paid for the $2 million treatment she received? Who refused to pay for treatment 3 years earlier? Can you point to a hospital in this country that has legally refused service to an indigent person in need of immediate care?

The truth is that Obamacare isn’t about improving access to medical care. It’s about paying for people who don’t have coverage. That’s why it’s a tax.

Two cartoons so far depicting an ambulance falling apart with the words Obamacare. Must be this week’s talking point from the RNC.

“If she had come in at 18…..”
Very true. In any country with a universal healthcare system she probably would have come in at 18. She would not have had to worry about not being able to pay the bills or be confronted with a hostile system.

I always get a kick out of an American whining about a “foreigner” interfering in the internal affairs of another country, even if it is a public forum in the funny papers!

Yeah…the only difference between Canadians and Americans is geographic location.

several pundits, I like Megan McCardle’s take myself, say that the system may be unworkable. and another has pointed out that to work properly it would need to step up the sort of information gathering beyond the NAS level.
