Amnesty is the cowards way out of a situation that demands hard, clear and fair choices.

We the people have been asleep at the helm. We the people have allowed idiot, criminal politicians to mold the dialogue with the help of a compliant media.

OH the poor simple peasant fleeing oppression to make his way in the great and wonderful land of opportunity.

Make no mistake, we ARE a NATION of immigrants, most of whom entered this country through the front door, filling out mountains of paperwork, spending thousands of dollars (or the equivalent in pesos/francs/Deutsche marks/lira/pounds to do so. The original mob often gave their lives (as invasions often do) to establish their foothold in the “New World”. The cost of immigration is always high.

A nation governed by the LAW which is spelled out clearly in * Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations* as it concerns immigration into this country.

And now, because we the people said nothing there is a teaming hoard of people in this country with NO LEGAL authority to be here. We quake at the thought of the cost to send them home. We fear the effort it will take to close a wide open border and we cry at the injustice that will occur to those children of the original criminal as they are separated from family IF we actually stand up for the rule of law. And greedy businesses continue to take advantage of those poor souls with no consequence.

It is so much easier to just give amnesty.

Fine. Before we begin to mop up all the flood the logical course of action would be to fix the leak. If you do not stop the influx of people then why have any immigration regulations at all?

Very rich white males, Michalle Malkin and Condoleezza Rice would be very interested in hearing that.

You also realize this didn’t become a major problem until after Johnson the Socialist came to power…I wonder why?
Then came the first amnesty act, signed by republican Reagan, that made this problem exponential. He erroneously thought the Dems would follow through & secure the border-but they didn’t. Si now we have many more looking for amnesty.

And I can’t believe anyone would buy into the PC crap they throw out there. Illegal aliens will always be illegal aliens, criminals and tax leeches and nothing more.

So the guy who snuck into the U.S. and murdered 3 people is now an “undocumented worker”?

So he’s just like the average Joe who goes to the grocery store to buy the family dinner, but accidentally forgot his wallet and gets pulled over?

You Democrats need to get a clue.

You do know NAZI party was a German acronym for National Socialism. They regulated the economy and redistributed wealth, with large government and party officials over them.

lol, lol. The right wing fringe . . . circling the wagons as they stubbornly dwindle into irrelevancy. Zakharia GPS ‘too liberal’ for them, then AP Newswire ‘too liberal’ for them . . . lol . . . now, inevitably I guess, even

Tea Party group boycotting Fox News for becoming ‘too liberal’

Good post Bruce. Thought provoking and contrary to most today, you focused on the issue without finger pointing, insulting or denigrating others.

Sorry, the AP guy IS a journalist. This is what journalism has always been.

“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle.” —Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Norvell (June 11, 1807)

“The fat Russian agent was cornering all the foreign refugees in turn and explaining plausibly that this whole affair was an Anarchist plot. I watched him with some interest, for it was the first time that I had seen a person whose profession was telling lies—unless one counts journalists.” —George Orwell, “Homage to Catalonia” (1938)

Knoll’s Law of Media Accuracy: Everything you read in the newspapers is absolutely true—except for the rare story of which you happen to have firsthand knowledge. —Erwin Knoll, editor, “The Progressive”
