Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Ramirez combines an encyclopedic knowledge of the news with a captivating drawing style to create consistently outstanding editorial cartoons.
"Editorial cartoons should be smart and substantive, provocative and informative. They should stir passions and deep emotions. Editorial cartoons should be the catalyst for thought, and frankly speaking, if you can make politicians think, that is an accomplishment in itself."

And if our miscreant Obama says that enough times, his adoring dolts actually believe him!

Ramirez does it again — pick whatever is in the news and stick the label Obamanomics or Obamacare on it – voila, a cartoon!! Life must be easy when you have room for only one idea.

Well, I guess you don’t pay attention, do you. Obama is not my Messiah, and I have a lot of complaints about him. I don’t like the drone program and the way it’s being handled, I don’t think Obama was wise to cave in to conservatives (of both parties) and settle for a half-assed health insurance system, I think he did too much to support the fat cats and not enough to support ordinary people, such as those with mortgage problems that weren’t their own fault. Will that do for a start? I don’t speak for anyone but me, but I see on the posts from left/liberals here quite a healthy critique of Obama. From the radical right I see nasty name calling void of ideas.

This is another sign about America falling about. Boats stopping, in middle of the Gulf, relief efforts for Sandy are bad, one issue after the other being ignored by over half the media. I mean this is what Ayn Rand was talking about!

Keep telling people that everything’s great as record numbers collect food stamps and disability and don’t think there is anything wrong with it.

Healthy critique? Okay, but from a general observational standpoint I would say the name calling and lack of solution oriented posting falls on both groups. Unless and until the American people and our elected leaders focus on compromise and equitable solutions this partisan divide will just continue to deteriorate our economy. I posted my feeling about unemployment, corporate taxation, spending and Washington’s lack of focus yesterday on Stahler’s cartoon.

Your response about how the left is full of insightful commentary pretty much had it’s throat slit by rvald01’s comment about Re-Dumb-lican’s coming right after yours. Personally, there is a lot of name calling, unsupported rhetoric, and half thought out conclusions coming from both sides of the fence. Not saying you fall in that group. Just saying that both sides have fringe elements whose mouths are way too big and make their ‘team’ look bad.

Sorry no, there a plenty of insults at republicans from the left here. rvald01 ReDumblican comment & lonecat defense at Obama is just a complaint against Ramirez.

That’s pretty much what I said, both sides are complicit.

You’re right that there’s name calling on the left. I wish there weren’t. I appeal to my friends on the left not to engage in name calling. I will try to do my part.
