Bet that’s a pearl-handled pistol. Love the scarlet A.

Great image, good cartoon.
But what does the red “A” mean?
Rockngolfer said, 7 months ago
There is a classic novel called The Scarlet Letter.

@Larry
From an old book called the Scarlet Letter. It was about the Puritins.

Spoiler alert:
The book had to do with a woman who became pregnant out of wedlock. The local minister (or whatever deity-representative it was) was shocked—SHOCKED—when he found out, and decreed that she would have to wear a red letter A for Adultery whenever she went out in public, as punishment (hence the name of the book).
It turns out, as many of you might have guessed, that it was the minister who had fathered the child.
So very little has changed…….
“So, dunk her in the water, and if she floats……?”
“She’s a witch. Burn the witch, burn the witch, burn the witch…”

Yes, let’s investigate how many people were actually RESCUED from Benghazi. Let’s investigate Kelley and the FBI agent that turned information over to Cantor, and investigate CANTOR! YES, if you want to get serious, go after the folks who actually violated their Constitutional oaths, and violated “security”, like Cantor!

Joe said, “Hester Petraeus!”
The general has always been very prynne and proper.

This is no more about Petraeus than Benghazi was about a nuisance video. Who believes that the timing of this is a coincidence?

Come on, nobody gets the “pearl handled pistol” reference??
And I think all Dems AND GOPs of a certain age had to suffer through Nathaniel Hawthorne.
For you more modern folks, The Scarlet Letter was a 1995 movie starring Demi Moore.

Only a wise person knows just how little they know…. Maybe those people were just being honest about the sum totality of their knowledge?
