I can relate to this one. Every time i run into anyone i went to school with, they all seem to have successful careers with good salaries, married, kids or another hallmark of a successful life. The ones without kids for instance have all acquired the material things that mark a “successful” life in our society. All I’ve accomplished is finding a job i ENJOY, that has a lousy level of pay and that i will never be able to afford to retire from. Otherwise i have no material goods, all my possessions fit easy into a bachelor apartment. My family is either deceased or don’t associate much with the lowly working class. And forget about dating as women want a successful man. Enjoying my job is the only thing I have going for me and to most people even that is a sign of failure because i don’t earn a lot of money doing it.
