I like it too. Alas, it’s rare.

Sadly, in the modern work environment, i cannot offer an honest compliment to a female co-worker regarding her appearance without fear of getting an earful later from the boss about potential harassment X_x! (Sexual harassment policies were written with normal folks in mind but seemingly are enforced to appease the neurotics who take quick offense to a simple ‘Good morning’….and sadly, i have run into a few….i try to avoid them when i can)

Yes but the IT guys get to walk around and work on PCs so they see plenty pretty women and tell them so too.

I agree with Drew but don’t expect Lila to see it that way.

I’m glad I work in an environment where we can say anything to anyone and we all take it in stride.

Where I used to work several female employees were harassed by a foreman, they went to the HR director (a woman) and complained. She told them they were wrong he was a friend of hers and would NEVER do such a thing. She continued to defend him until finally one day there were just too many complaints going over her head to the company president and that forman “left for a different job”. The HR woman still works there. Employees now call her the Human Refuse Director. (The noun not the verb, although considering how she always refused to take a worker’s side in anything both uses might be correct)

Having worked in a male dominated industry and put up with real harassment – pornographic pictures stuck into my belongings, some men putting their hands where they didn’t belong – I have little sympathy for office staff crying about being called ‘pretty.’.
You learn to let the small stuff pass over you, look a man in the eye and shoot him down with a withering glance.
Most importantly, you do your job well, you never swear and you trust in your own self esteem.
Soon enough you will have the better men- and there are a lot of them – standing up for you.

Enough PC fish in your face and a man stops paying even mild compliments to women.

Yes, “PC” as in sexism in this context. You are fine with sexism. Anyone who is against it is “PC.”
