If you want solid evidence that nicotine is addicting try smoking menthol cigarettes. They taste terrible, but every fifteen minutes….

No, they are not remotely the same.

Normal humans do not continually ingest peppermint-flavored anything without the addition of substantial quantities of addictive substances.
Unless it’s xmas time, when most of society loses all pretense of sanity anyways.

Although both Caffeine and Cocaine are stimulants I believe Cocaine is chemically closer related to Chocolate although American Chocolate has the stimulant removed. European Chocolate however usually doesn’t.

I understand that nicotine is the most addictive substance known to man.

Lonnie Cavenee: There was a study with prison “volunteers” in the 1930s that involved heroin addicts. They were given “mainline” doses of nicotine, habituated, then back to heroin. They showed withdrawal symptoms. I heard about this in the late 1940s from a doctor who was doing nicotine research (long before the Tobacco Institute claimed no one had done any research on nicotine). If anyone has the citation of this study, I would appreciate it.

Nope. Refined sugar is. And is the cause of today’s ‘obesity epidemic’:

Just hope they stop the some Drug War and soon. Medical difficulties should be left to science not strong arm police.
