The toon is actually accurate, and the issue predates Hamas. I can’t support Hamas, but I also can’t support the decades of oppression the extremists in Israel have continued, unabated, and not condemned by enough of the world. Sanctions are simply long overdue.

As The Gaza Strip has a border with Egypt, you have to ask yourself why is that border closed?

It is a fact that Hamas uses Ambulances to transport “militants” aka terrorists, and weapons. It is also a fact that Hamas uses UN schools to store Weapons.

If Hamas has such a problem with the blockade (when most of the aid goes through Israel) why is it the tunnels into Israel are concrete lined? Why not use the concrete for peaceful purposes, instead of perpetuating the war. When Gaza was handed back there were homes, greenhouses & an infrastructure, what happened? Hamas destroyed them, and blamed Israel.

Israel also has its hands dirty (destroying the homes of terrorists for example) but in this conflict they are restrained.

Hamas uses human shields, and then cries when there are innocent victims…

In 1933, Adolph won the elections in Germany on a platform of restoring the German economy by eradicating the groups that he was sure had caused Germany to lose WWI and then caused all Germany’s economic problems. One of those groups was the Bolsheviks and another was the Jews (of course, there’s not a lot of historical evidence against the Jews for Germany’s military defeat or economic problems, but Adolph had his theory, and didn’t need to be confused by any facts). So every Jew who had enough money for a boat ticket in baggage class bought one and tried to leave, and EVERY country refused all Jews who didn’t have Nobel Prizes and sent them back to Europe, so the Jews were stuck in Europe where the Nazis did their best to eradicate all of them.

In 1948, with an election coming up, Truman ordered all the Jews in European refugee camps sent to Palestine. Or else. Whether they wanted to go or not (well, it wasn’t as good as getting to go back to their pre-war homes, but it was better than the refugee camps).

Two million Jews needed places to stay, so they evicted some of the Palestinians, just as Joshua, Saul, and David had done in the Bible. Then all the Arab countries evicted all the Jews that had been living there since they had been exiled from Palestine in 70 AD (and Spain in 1492), and no nation except Israel would accept any of them who didn’t have Nobel Prizes. So more Palestinians had to be displaced. The Palestinians were not altogether happy about this, and said they’d fight until they got their own homes back, a fight they’ve been losing since 1948.

And it’s a fight the Palestinians are STILL losing.

Any reasonable person can easily see where the guilt for all this suffering lies. And it isn’t with the Jews OR the Palestinians.

For all the complaining about using human shields whether or not its true, you aren’t supposed to shoot the shields anyways. Then of course there’s the point of, where the heck are they supposed to go?
Also, if they are deliberately warning the place they are bombing that they are bombing it, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of bombing it? Unless the point is to demolish the building, which I suppose it is given they just build more and more settlements.

I’m old enough to remember when the Nazis entered Poland. The new Nazis are the conservative Jews. How ironic is that? And look how much profit they have made from movies decrying their suffering in WWII? And our pseudo Christian Americans are complicit by linking characters from the Old Testament and present day Jews. And the Jews sucker Christian tourists with phony religious artifacts and tours. Jews have been great contributors in history but their genocide against Palestinians are the catalyst for wars all around them.

After some reading review, it was originally the Palestinians during the original 1948 Arab-Israeli War who wanted to “drive the Jews back into the sea”. Agreement after agreement, cease fire after cease fire, the Palestinians now have had all the time in the world to stop fighting and sit at the negotiation table. To end this for good. Instead it’s the extreme end of their population in the driver’s seat and the same in Israel. Mind you the Israelis have a very long memory. There soon won’t be enough Palestinians to remember past 30 years ago.

The tunnels are also used for the large amount of goods otherwise blockaded by Israel and Egypt. But who needs food and medicine. Clean water is also for wusses.

Israel has been the aggressor by instituting policies that leave no choice but to break the law.

Unfortunately you don’t have a central authority for rockets.

A rocket can be made with

    . Fertilizer
    . Sugar
    . a metal case
    . some explosive material

Overall it can be fun to do this small scale without explosives as an experiment in rocketry.
However the bottom line is that it is cheap to make, easy to make and anybody with a grudge can make one

Sounds more like Jew hate baiting.
    -
Though both sides are cited for war crimes it is the Palestinians who are being slowly exterminated. That is a fact you refuse to see in your support Israel on anything they do regardless of the law.
    -
So does age constitute which country is “real” and which isn’t? Does extermination of the previous occupants make it for Jews alone?

Hamas is a criminal organization but they have nothing on the elected govts of the USA and Israel who could crush them and everyone in the two gulags or reservations or ghettos. They all fit that classification.

While in Israel I listened to a few Israelis say the same, one of them was a dual-national from South Africa! And this was in the late ’90s.
Come to think of it, the more liberal opinions I heard were often from foreign-born Israelis. Our Canadian-born tour guide for one.

Then again, another, our instructor and Romanian born, said he worried about the extreme bigotry the recent Russian-born immigrants were exihibiting.
They are there, just not enough of them. But perhaps they will gain traction. Witness the efforts of organisations such as Breaking the Silence."
