   No way on God’s green earth he could get beyond the “legacy impediment” of his brother. It’s too bad, because as a conservative he’s one of the better of the bunch. I still like the neurosurgeon who spoke at the Washington prayer breakfast. He’s actually a rational person and he’s really likeable for a republican. But then again my solution for most of the political malaise in Washington today is retire the whole bunch of them and start over. We need to dump all the baby boomers and get the “next” generation in, since they’re the ones that are going to be saddled with all this debt and misery we are creating now.

    Those who read the comments here should have seen that about half the voters know that, after Clinton let Osama and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed destroy the World Trade Center and almost destroy the Pentagon, Bush Jr kept America safe for almost eight years, slashed taxes, and balanced the budget. Had it not been for term limits…

    
    (Of course, the other half of the voters have rather diametrically opposed views of the Bush, Jr presidency.)

    
    So I give Jeb odds of about 5:1 against (he was for immigration reform before he was again’ it, so he’ll have trouble making it past the primaries).
