People from the FAA are in an air traffic control tower. They look everywhere on their level, but a drone flies past them.
Unlike the military, the FAA does not have the luxury of just shooting things ot of the sky. They have to take account of such things as commercial airliners with literally hundreds of civilian human beings on board. The FAA does a fantastic job of already making commercial air travel the absolute safest form of travel there is. If I were to travel a lot by such aircraft, then I certainly would not want them to have to listen to anybody at all!!
