If the majority doesn’t agree with you, hold the government hostage.

Obama now has a 37% approval rating! You will not see that in the lame stream media! The “will of the people” resides in those that were directly elected by the people. Those that the Constitution gives the power of the purse. that would be the House and only the House.
Obamacare was put into play by not one Republican vote. Let them fund it the same way.
The Will of the majority is to burn down Obamacare and start over.

But a majority in the House is inferior to the will of the One who Rules. HIS dictates are absolute. HE will not bend or bow or accept the will of the majority of a mere portion of an inferior branch of government, which isn’t even needed when HE is divinely ordained as the Ruler of All. The Will of the People is the Will of the One, so let HIS will be done! (Lest it be clobberin’ time.)

The Constitution was set up so that a small group could stop laws. And English law has always been based on requiring the Lower House to fund proclamations by the sovereign, which in this case was the ‘10 House, Senate, President, and the ’12 Supreme Court. It might be insane, as it was when the Republicans tried it in ’95 and then did badly in the ’96 election, but the gerrymander has gotten stronger since then, and can eat enough Democratic votes that, even when the the majority foolishly votes for a Democratic House, we get a sensible Republican House instead.

And the Republican Representatives know what the gerrymander might do to their nomination in their next primaries if they don’t show their mettle by shutting down the government.

And on what exactly is the “Will of U.S. Majority” being challenged by the TEA Party?

Certainly not Obamacare. That is currently unpopular polling well below 50% wanting it, was forced through Congress on a Christmas eve vote where a single party developed, wrote, and voted for it. So that can’t be it.

“That is currently unpopular polling well below 50% wanting it”
And once more you assume that that means all those not happy with it want it gone. Wasn’t it 36% of those unhappy with it wanted it strengthened?
Did you complain this vociferously about Gingrich’s “Contract With America”?

The US majority will not forget the callous intransigence of the GOP minority in willfully shutting down the government. Just like in 1996 when the right wing tried this stupid trick, they will lose big for it.

It seems that some ignorant individuals forget that a majority of Americans chose to vote this President, and his programs into the White House.

71 % do not want Obamacare so you have the wrong character trying to leverage. 39 % approval rating does not equate with this editorial cartoon either. Obama is having a quiet tantrum by trying to squeeze the American public through petty shutdown orders. The House has passed resolutions to fund Parks, government jobs, etc. which he and his Senate sycophants have turned down. I can’t respect the President, the Democratic leaders, or even the Republican leaders.
