    America, love it or leave it. Isn’t that a Republican/Redneck slogan?

    Never be afraid or ashamed to be who and what you are. Stand up and be proud of who and what you are, unless you are a conservative. Then you are a rich white oppressor, no matter your race, color, creed or gender and you should be ashamed and fearful, and should just shut up and go away.

    @BrassOrchid

    Conservative? You mean like supporting an invasion of Iraq for no reason, while NOT paying for it?
    Is that what it means to be a conservative?
    -
    Or was that a different group?

    Then you support the invasion of Iraq while not paying for it whether or not an elected politician represents conservatism and should shut up and go away, of course. Everybody must be free unless they insist on being free and allowing others the same.

    No, it’s simply that if you are a self-described “conservative” in today’s GOP, then 1). You’re not really conservative, and 2), you do not have the cognition with which to perceive dissonance.

    By the way, of what exactly is it that today’s GOP can be proud?

    @BrassOrchid

    And yes, you make a good point. Everyone should be free to express non- fact-supported idiocy. Loud and proud. And everyone else should have the freedom to call them out on it.

    When Rush Limbaugh threatened to leave New York Jon Stewart replied thusly: “At this time of day you best take 53rd street down to the Lincoln tunnel and then the freeway north. And here is my f*****g Eazy-Pass, don’t let anything get in your way!!!”

    -

    PS: The directions are paraphrased, not his actual words, I don’t have the clip at hand right now.

    So long as he doesn’t come to Canada… mind you, with our hate crime laws, he’d likely be deported as soon as his plane landed here (Fortunately)

    Who cares what Jon Stewart thinks?
    He’s a leftwing BamaBot.
    And Rush Limbaugh didn’t threaten. He left NY. And took all that tax money with him. That will teach NY! All that taxable income from this 1 percenter, now all gone….
    And now Limbaugh doesn’t have to pay state taxes at all, so he’s even more rich!-
    AND… he’s still on the air, lol.
    -
    FYI, Here’s a quote from Ted Koppel last week: “You cannot, in a democracy, expect people to be able to reach across the aisles and make the accommodations for important issues if they are terrified that in so doing they’re gonna expose themselves to the wrath of either the right or the left, either Jon Stewart’s humor or Rush Limbaugh’s sharp tongue,”

    -
    Jon Stewart is NOT considered a “news source” to real journalists.

    But since real journalists have been cowed since before the Bush occupancy, the PEOPLE (the ones you count on) trust Stewart more.
    So do I.

    Where did you get the “fact” that more people that I count on trust Stewart more?

    Numbers, ratings, reviews, you know, stuff I read.
