I used to play peek-a-boo with the mud monster when she was tiny. Same for her cousins and my great-nephews & great-nieces. They seem to love it. In Becka’s case, I think she understood that I wasn’t disappearing and re-appearing, but that the appearance was there – at that age, perhaps a significant achievement.
(Or, wth, perhaps just having me play with her [grin]. She learned to toss stuff on the floor so us BIG people would have to pick it up. Not just dropping a binky because she let go – intentionally dropping crayons and such.)
