Easy on the dentist cracks, now. I live with a dentist, and I had her check these gags out to make sure they weren’t founded in myth.

why are dentists have not really updated their tools? some of their tools look like medieval torture devices.

Actually, Chris and I visited a preserved historic dentist’s office here in town- from the 1700’s. Things have changed a lot since then, and we should all be glad. There’s lots of new tools and procedures, but certain tools have to be the way they are to do the job.

Today’s strip reminded me of the Steven Wright joke: “My dental hygienist is cute. Every time I visit, I eat a whole package of Oreo cookies while I’m in the waiting room. Sometimes she has to cancel the rest of the afternoon’s appointments.”

I like how Sue’s tongue goes from “Yum!” to “Yuck!” between the two panels.

Yea, she saw it up close. My junior high cafeteria had green egg salad. Literally. I did not like it, Sam I Am.

Eh, I had a root canal in September. Really, it wasn’t painful! Long, since I had four roots in that tooth, but not painful . . . actually, I tell not the whole truth. There was pain, from keeping my jaw open wide. That was the worst part.
