Maria is a kid who sees things her own way- and expects the world to see it her own way too! Her friend Joey is more practical. He helps keep her grounded, though that’s as easy as handling a Thanksgiving balloon in a hurricane. Sue is special and she knows it- better than anyone. She’s writing her autobiography now, but she’ll live it later. Bob takes things slower. Ms. Payne is their teacher- she enjoys her job, she truly does. She’d enjoy it even more without the students.

So that’s why anime fans want their shows on TV even though they already have the DVD box sets.

Yes Maria they do. But they do have a point, watch it on DVD, no commercials.

@Sack of Rabid Weasels
When Jerry Seinfeld was first approached about putting SEINFELD on DVD, he claimed not to understand why anyone would need that when it was on broadcast TV all the time. Of course, it did come out on DVD- so we don’t have to watch it butchered by commercials, and not so subtly sped up here and there to make room for even more ads.

That is a rather dominant tv they own.

Krazy Kat forecast widescreen TV’s years before most people had TV at all- even dinky B&W ones. An old Sunday strip from the 30’s or 40’s showed Offisa Pup watching television. Herriman was no doubt just having fun by portraying the TV as a large, flat movie-like screen, filling most of a wall.

This is the time of year we have to watch our dvd of Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics. One of my favorite songs on it is Merry F***ing Christmas by Mr. Garrison. Another favorite dvd at this time is The Ref with Denis Leary.
