Really enjoy your strip Mr. Pitchford. I was looking into Sherpa, how do you scan your work as a jpeg at72 dpi and still get such clarity?

Hi! Sorry for the delay in my reply. Thank you! I am really happy you like my work. My originals are done on 11 × 17-inch Bristol and scanned at 600dpi first, then converted to a bitmap tif to clean up the lines (all black and white). The file I use for coloring in Photoshop is 300dpi tif (CMYK). I convert this to a 300dpi CMYK jpg for a couple of newspapers, and I reduce it for the home site to 792 px at 72 dpi and convert it to RGB color. For this page, it is reduced to 600 px wide. Perhaps it’s the fact that I start at high res. I have no idea if that answered your question or not, but feel free to continue asking!
