    ..and the resulting damage to the human body are just as harmful

    @nighthawks

    Yes they’re both harmful to the body but certainly not equally harmful.

    I’d rather have a dad who eats fast food than one who drinks or uses drugs. No question.

    Would you rather ride in a car where the driver just ate a Lucky Cow burger or in a car where the driver just consumed drugs or alcohol?

    Calling out only fast food is an emotional response and is not intellectually honest. Certainly fast food is at the bottom of the barrel but most restaurants – chains and independents alike – are in the barrel too. The only difference between McDonald’s and Friday’s is at one place you order at your table and your meal takes longer to eat. Both places serve the same unhealthy garbage.

    You can buy healthy food at both places, we have to be responsible for ourselves and make the right choice for us.

    Now you want to push legal addictions. I mean, advertise.

    Our one foray into Amsterdam’s Red Light District was to exchange liquids at McDonalds. There were signs prohibiting drug deals on the premises.

    That’s like the announcements at the sumo matches here in Japan saying that “gangsters are not permitted in the arena”. As if any self respecting yakuza is going to let an announcement stop him.
