I semi-accidentally hit the panic button while I was training as a clerk in a wine store. The manager tole me the button was under the register counter, and I felt under the counter, found the button and pushed. The cop who responded was both relieved and pissed off.

A PSA that plated in my area featured an EMT saying he’d rather answer a false alarm than lose a patient who had coronary symptoms and didn’t call.
