It’s sad. So often you can’t go into what really interests you and find a job. (But I guess that happens; we can’t all be video game reviewers, right?). And one reason I’m going into nursing (tho it fits for me).

Kid shows up looking for a job. Proprietor tells kid, “Great, I need someone to sweep up around here,” and hands him a broom. Kid complains, “But I’m a college graduate!” Proprietor takes back the broom and says, “OK, here, I’ll show you!”

All the counselors and teachers at my high school were pushing college. They didn’t say a blasted thing about the vocational center. Had I known about that, I could have gotten my life off the ground a lot sooner. I like working with my hands. Plus it would have been cheaper than college.
