No one likes a Grouser, even the lurking enemy in the shadows of night. Now, which of the Orcks is named Oldenfeeble or Straggler? Put Straggler on lead.

    Good morning, folks! Sleep well?

Nice rock formations! I wouldn’t mind visiting there with a good pair of hiking boots (and a bazooka for the Gilogorgos, which I wager Malgorth is thinking of right about now.) And another Phantom Cruiser, though I agree that might be a ringed planet. Is that a Jawa in the corner…?

Jawa is what I was thinking, too. Malgorth is wise to be careful when traversing a strange wasteland at night. Who knows what beasties or foes might be lurking here or there? Gotta be sharp for gilogorgos!

Nice setting no Monument Valley though but then Malgorth is no John Wayne. Personally I would put the stragglers on point, to teach them a lesson and keep Grouser close by.

This isn’t the Star Wars universe so it is something or someone indigenous to the region. Jawas are not.

    End of chapter 2.
I’m going to pull another George RR Martin and put this on hold for a while. I was hoping to have more of the story uploaded before that happened, as most of what I’ve posted this spring was actually drawn last summer and this winter, but it’s been a busy year for me. I’ve got the story written, but the drawing is the time-consuming part.
Although I’m off on summer break and don’t start teaching again until September, I’ve got something else to keep me busy. About a year ago I was contacted by “Wimpy Kid” creator Jeff Kinney (awesome person!), who was interested in having me illustrate for his other big franchise, Poptropica. This past year I illustrated a Poptropica comic strip, which has started running in several different places, and now I’ve got a larger Poptropica project that’s going to require my full attention this summer.
I’d love to do LSS full-time and post stories uninterrupted, but LSS just doesn’t make the money to do that, and I certainly couldn’t pass up a chance to illustrate projects for a franchise like Poptropica. I’ll work on “Cork” here and there and hopefully start posting new chapters again at some point in the fall.

So maybe most of you will be back in the fall for more of the story. I’m having fun with this one.

I’m enjoying Poptropica here too so I can’t complain too much. I will miss LSOS, though. Enjoy the summer. I’d say enjoy the rest, but from your posting I don’t think you’ll be getting much of that.
I WILL be here when LSOS returns!

Best wishes, Kory! I’ve been reading Poptropica, and it seems to be going well. I look forward to the return of LSoS, whenever that may be!
