Gut polishing bacteria! They are competing w yogurt.

I love that there is a Chub Checker flavor. About two thirds of my life time ago I worked for free as a gofer (officially termed assistant stage mgr but it was gofer work) for three oldies concerts Chub was in, when I was helping two older friends who were running the series. He was a marvelous person who introduced himself by playing a prank on me (posing as a worker w a sweatshirt hood disguising him come to help me move the chairs that were supposed to have already been in place — and he actually did move up some of the chairs after pulling back his hood and sharing a laugh), and he was totally professional about his actual work. Good man.

Bob Smith (Buffalo Bob Smith) was the announcer for the latter two of them. He had some stories from the tv show that could fit right in the LSoS spirit. I only remember my favorite. When filming a Halloween show one little boy had to pee. Bob pointed him side stage toward a rest room but the boy thought he was pointing to one of the jack o lanterns decorating the stage front. Years later Bob learned the boy had grown up to be a fireman.

So, thank you for the memories, Kory!

The Oompa Loompa and Keebler Elf are at the table next to Marigold. It’s nice to see everything work out.
(I assume that they’re not still shackled.)

Check out Xynstrek with his Poncho tie! So it appears he replaced Kleguelo. (And what became of the latter?) Also, note some familiar faces among the taste testers.

It’s standing on one foot and one hand. The other foot is holding the clipboard, and the other hand has the pencil.

Since the rat has a spoon, the cockroach should have one too. He’s probably going to clean up the spilled Chubby Hubby Checker.

Makes sense. The individual needs better knuckle walking position, though. (Another part of my past reflected, starting about five years after helping w the concerts, since when I went to college as an adult I worked w a range of fossils and extant primates including about four years w chimps (hense, many scars, one concussion, and for a while calluses on my upper back from them bouncing on their knuckles on my back), BTW, try opening a door sometime using a hand in correct knuckle walking position because just a slight shift will fling the door open and it can really startle people.

BTW, lest that sound very unusual I was planning on going into primatology/phys anthro and worked for some primatologists in an anatomy dept. Unfortunately, I got very ill so did not get a graduate degree, though I put myself through undergrad and some grad credits. Being old enough that a dept will not get in trouble if you get injured -different from when a student is below 21 – can be useful, as just plain can being willing to try things when chances come up. For me that added up to helping in Suriname, prospecting in Wyoming, working w wild animals, etc. (I may be the only one here who ever growled down a jaguar…)

This strip brings me joy in so many ways. I love Discworld. And I’m glad Marigold’s horn survived the previous management!
