Okay, I am officially surprised and terribly curious to see what happens next!

    Did the Mushpits come too?

Also, with Dr. Periwether calling it the “old” Slynderfell Place how long have they been there?

Curiouser and curiouser in multiple meanings…

that is a surprise to see her. Otherwise, I don’t have a clue, but am glad they have been able to get most of the kids out.

I like her boots! Are they coated in mud, or are they the very rare and impractical knitted Wellies?

Periwether: “I never would have thought! I used to play in the caves under the Slynderfell place as a child. Have you met the Freezer Burn Management people? Lovely folks, especially that one man – Rallester. I wonder if he still plays pinocle.”

Ya Think ? Margo’s doubtful look says volumes. Maybe I’m just paranoid.

I’m suspicious as well… (also very surprised to see her) But, there’s something about that extreme “battiness” of hers…

Doc E.E. Periwether! Well, I’ll be! She tracked Rufus-Rupert through the muddy Halfrock Swamp, but didn’t encounter any swamp denizens of note? Blimey! Most of the kids are out, and other than whatever complications Dr. Periwether may bring to the party, it’s time to focus on getting the few remaining Taken and Biff out of harm’s way and then destroying Flimm. Maybe Doc will have some suggestions on how that might be accomplished….

Hopefully, the end of this non-epic is approaching. What a waste of time.

If you’re so dis-interested, you don’t have to read it. Many of us are loving every frame!

Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K – I mean at the Slynderfel Ice Cream Factory.

So, she tracked his muddy footprints into the swamp and then . . . what? Followed the mud trail through the swamp full of mud and water? Something smells fishy, and it ain’t just the Cavalcade denizens.

    “The game is afoot.”
Yes, something odd about Dr. Periwether being there. And why “The Old Slynderfell place?”
Could I be over thinking? Could she have tried there long ago looking for her brother, but was rebuffed? And, why did she get that name right, instead of botching it.
O.K., now I’m definitely over thinking.
    Looking forward to tomorrow’s installment!!!

…hmmm, I am not too trusting of this development myself…is she a secret ally of the Flimm? Is this REALLY Dr Periwether, or another Verminosh masterpiece? How could she make it through the swamp without running into the WBG? ("Dear me, yes, I met those nice gentlemen! Such a handsome, polished, erudite gentleman leading them! They told me exactly how to get here…) Definitely makes my spidey sense tingling…
