Welcome to a land of strange stories and weirdly-spun yarn, where oddities and unmentionables lurk behind every tale. Here you will witness the plight of the mysterious Heckbender, suffer the misadventures of Derring-Do Dan, learn the unsettling secret of the Slynderfell Ice Cream Cavalcade, and behold the unraveling of The Bogey. A word of caution: stay on the sidewalks, avoid shortcuts through Halfrock Swamp, and do NOT under any circumstances make business transactions with C. Percival Trullus.

Mrs. Mushpit: “Of course it’s light! Aylosium is just another word for your aluminum! Naturally it’s going to be…. Um… Forget I said anything. Just go out and stab Flimm with it. But, don’t stab too hard or the blade’ll bend…”

I hate reposting, but I’m curious who you think will be the one to use this. I vote Goatsucker.

Do you think Aylosium relates to Elysium in some way?
Empress of Evil said, 4 months ago
@waycyber
Hmmm…. probably not.

Eeek I hope it is Goatsucker! fingers crossed but it probably won’t be. Alas such is fate.

I’m betting Rufus—but does Aylosium act only on Flimm, or will it harm Flimm’s host as well? I’m betting the latter, such that some moral hazard arises when they finally have the opportunity to do something…

Lucius actually looks pretty angry there. Come to think of it, Lucius looks angry most of the time.

It looks like aluminum, but it doesn’t look like a “foil” ;-)

It would have, if Emmet was a member of SCA.

Just how would anyone stab Flimm, seeing as he’s a void? I haven’t been following this strip very long, so if anyone can fill me in, I’d be grateful.

I’d like it to be Rufus who ‘deals the final blow’ because we started out with Rufus (and Biff, too), but it was Twila being taken that really threw Rufus into the story. (And I LOVE Goatsucker, so I hope she’s majorly involved – and please, please, Kory, don’t kill her off…)

I have thought from of old that aylosium was a pun on “I lose them” (kids and the memories of them)….
While everyone has a turn at handling the short sword or long dagger (depending on your point of view), is no one trying to figure out how to get at Flimm?

While I’m sure that’s very much on their minds, don’t forget that they still don’t know Flimm’s location. Mrs. Mushpit said that they had narrowed it to within a few miles. And how much do want to wager that Slynderfell’s is quite close by — say, no more than a day’s walk? Only a matter of time before someone slips, said Mrs. M, and that will be their chance.
