I wonder if Goatsucker is either a former host for a Taker or a victim of one, having been altered by the experience and forced to become a kind of taker herself. That might explain her willingness to help out.

Maybe, as they are not physical beings, they do not need physical food, but emotion or other energy

Jamie Jones could feed on hope
    Piper could feed on love
The Beast could feed on fear

    and so on.

You’re missing Rafer. Flimm’s not in this line up of the usual suspects…

Wow! Almost too much information! But Biff and Rufus and Margo now know much more than they did before and may be able to use this knowledge to their advantage….

When we first met goatsucker, she said that Takers are the monsters her kind were told about by their parents to keep them in line as children. There’s very little chance that she’s related to the Takers herself, especially since she tried so hard to avoid being dragged into this hunt. The only reason she’s helping out now is that Margo gave her fresh dead rats, and Rufus treated her nicely. She still doesn’t like anyone else, and probably hangs around Margo like any cat would – hoping to get a free handout.

not all Russian Baba Yaga stories are about “monsters”. Baba had a human side as well – much like the translation of “grandmother” as “baba”

Jennie drowns her prey. Does this mean she feeds on the crayfish that eat waterlogged corpses?

Maybe she feeds on the despair of a dying person.

Hasn’t it been established that Rafer is a puppet rather than a Taker? Sort of an UnderTaker?
