Welcome to a land of strange stories and weirdly-spun yarn, where oddities and unmentionables lurk behind every tale. Here you will witness the plight of the mysterious Heckbender, suffer the misadventures of Derring-Do Dan, learn the unsettling secret of the Slynderfell Ice Cream Cavalcade, and behold the unraveling of The Bogey. A word of caution: stay on the sidewalks, avoid shortcuts through Halfrock Swamp, and do NOT under any circumstances make business transactions with C. Percival Trullus.

Margo may be a bit buzzed, but she’s playing Jamie expertly!

So, was that really from a SUNY creative writing class? Or from a graduate of a SUNY creative writing class? :) Or a graduate of SUNY who didn’t need to take creative writing?

But we all know that volume doesn’t matter. Or something like that.
Margo looks like Mr. York finding his courage. Except for the sneer…

She wants the oceans? Geeze, next she’ll want the Moon (jellies) and the Star (fishes).

Sorry I forgot to answer your question yesterday. I was busy being Larry David with my comment.
I do have the entire thing mapped out in my head, and I’ve written most of the text into a word document. I do usually end up changing some small things as I go along (or at least I did with the previous stories).
Of the stories I’ve done so far, this is the one I’m least confident with, particularly with the true identities of the “Takers.” Still, I’m looking forward to drawing the climax. It ties in with past stuff.

Nice B’rer Rabbit moment here, and great build-up of the story! Wow!!

“Of the stories I’ve done so far, this is the one I’m least confident with.”
Is that because the characters are taking on lives of their own? I think that is when stories become even more real, to me. Thanks for taking the time to read your comments!

And, thanks for the snorting-beer-outta-my-nose- comment you left yesterday! I, for one, will follow this ride until it draws to a safe and complete stop…if it ever does :-)

Thanks for the insight into your process, Kory! I have full confidence that this will be the best story yet—and that’s saying something.
