So far, it looks like one of those mangy, hairless canids that are considered to be chupacabras

    It’s Kolchak!
(Decided to try to get the real scoop on the goatsuckers. Personally, I think the strawberry goatsuckers are best.)

I must admit, I was not anticipating a reference to a chupacabra (whether or not that IS one) in the course of this story. But then again, I’ve really NO idea what’s going to happen next which is part of what makes this whole thing so cool.

Whatever that mangy, sly critter may be, our team may have to spring into action very soon! Is Biff ready with his paintball gun?

Really like the pace of this story. Plenty of time to think, lying awake at night, in the dark…

Don’t shoot it, Biff! Stalk it until you’re off the farm premises, than try talking to it! Remember, it’s only harmful to cattle. This creature may be an ally!

I’ve been away and catching up now. Goatsuckers are also a group of birds, also known as nightjars. They include the whip-poor-will, among a couple of others.

Biff is going to panic and light it up like Omaha Beach.
