    Give up. “Me” as the subject of a sentence is here to stay. It’s in TV scripts and I see it written several time a week. Makes people sound like Hollywood Indians in old “B” westerns.

    Just because it’s in TV scripts doesn’t make it correct. It’s also wrong to use myself when me is correct. For example, “You may ask Sam or myself.” It should be me. You wouldn’t say, “You may ask myself.”

    It’s easy to figure whether it should be “me” or “I” – Ask yourself if you remove the other person/pronoun from the sentence, would it still make sense? In this case, no – “Me am going bike riding” sounds like toddler talk.

    @Chickweed Fan

    “Myself” abuse still makes me flinch every time I hear it happen.

    That has nothing to do with self abuse, however.

    I agree. That was supposed to be my point. But once it gets into pop culture, and a lot of blogs along with other writing its hard to stamp out, much as I wish it could be. And yes Gee Man is right, but too many people are just too damn lazy to even put out that much effort. Glad you pointed out abuse of myself.
