Go ahead and ban assault weapons. Senator Feinstein (D-CA) has promised to introduce the legislation that will require so many wonderful things…oh wait …. not “new” things but still.
How well do the same laws work in her home state?
Well the law states:
All firearm sales (except long guns more than 50 years old) must be completed through a dealer.
All handgun serial numbers and sales are recorded by the state (registered) in the Department of Justice’s Automated Firearms System
Illegal to possess, import, or purchase assault weapons and .50 BMG rifles
Possession of automatic weapons or short-barreled shotguns or rifles prohibited without DOJ “Dangerous Weapons Permit”; permission rarely granted outside of film industry. Suppressors (aka silencers) prohibited. AOW’s (Any Other Weapons) permitted, except for “pen guns.”
This is just an overview not the complete law and there are exceptions with the proper permits. So, there shouldn’t BE any assault weapons in California right? I mean they are “prohibited” by LAW after all.
The reasonable gun laws are already on the books. Like so many things, it is a matter of enforcing the law. Also, liberal America has made it very difficult to put the violently insane apart from the rest of us.

Chicago is a virtual gun free zone. 10 people were shot the same day as Sandy Hill. Not a word about it in the lap dog media.
