That’s it! The sun is a globe, hence, global warming.

Our star is a nuclear fusion furnace. The CO2 keeps us warmer than we should be this distance from it. Too much CO2 adds energy and speeds up the water cycle and causes unstable weather patterns and stronger storms.

Today is the apocalypse for approx. 150,000 people and 200 species … as it is every day.
(at least that’s what the statisticians say)

re: night-gaunt
CO2 has a lower specific heat than oxygen, nitrogen, argon, neon, etc. Only helium had a greater specific heat, but it’s a tiny component of the atmosphere. All of these gases can hold far more heat than CO2. Water vapor has an immensely greater specific heat. As a final chapter in a book, I did the calcs for what would happen to air temps if CO2 was doubled. No change.
.
When I researched the book “Global Warming, Challenged” the oldest references I could find to CO2 “warming” the planet were the 1890s. Long before weather became a science in the 1930s and before a degree was a degree everywhere due to the standards treaties of the 1920s.
.
The media called out Al Gore last year on his claim he’d always said that warmer earth, more rain. He’d consistently said the opposite before then— droughts. Snort. I said that about more heat, more rain in Global Warming, Challenged more than 3 years prior in both negative and positive form. I suppose I should be flattered to be quoted by someone else. just wish I got the credit. The upshot is that we would be seeing warming everywhere, not just here and there. We wouldn’t have record ice at the poles for 5 years running, nor have to get out the icebreakers in August off of Nome, or in spring in the Baltic. Both have happened due to increasing ice during the summers. The coffee crops frosted out in South American due to states of emergency declared from the cold a couple years ago. The ice free port of leningrad froze over last year, trapping dozens of ships. So did the baltic, requiring a soviet-era icebreaker to clear a path for ships. We wouldn’t have had temps dropping since 2004 if it was “warming.”
.
The most fun fact I found out was that Scripps and later NOAA have a sensor in Hawaii since the 1950s. about 50 miles from an active volcanic vent that routinely causes VOG 200 miles away in Oahu. The CO2 reading in 2008 was 330 ppm for the rest of the world and 380 for that sensor. Why is this important? Because it’s the only long term sensor we have. We don’t actually know if CO2 has increased or decreased. However, when other sources of CO2 are added up— quadrillions of tons vs. humanity’s supposed 57 million, it doesn’t work. It’s like a flea on a supertanker. The sun’s variance of 10W/m2 is more than 1300 times the entire electrical generating capacity of the planet.

Lio can get away with anything with the world ending (hasn’t he already been doing that?) and now there’s nothing to do.

I feel the same way, Lio. Of course, there’s still a few hours of hope left, the 21st is the last day, meaning we have the day to get through, but watch out for midnight on the 22nd!

We have a foot of snow and single digits. Proof positive global warming is a scam.
9 out of 10 scientists believe in global warming for the money it provides and 10 out of 10 crackheads like crack.
