    At least, she stood there and let him speak without pulling a machete on him…that’s a good sign…

    She didn’t see the stone, just the ring around the collar.

    @briatollah: Good one, and just how do you go about getting the little doo dad over the “o” in Lio?

    Without the spook in the box, the ring alone would’ve sufficed, Liō. (I know, everybody else, where’s the fun in that?)

    Looks like a toothsome stone.

    Lio is young; he didn’t understand that the presentation was everything, and that a scary-type jack-in-the-box was not the most likely to win over the reluctant Eva Rose. Well, as I’m sure you will do, try, try again, Lio!

    @Dogsniff

    On my laptop, hold down “alt” and key in 149 on the number pad. Then release. It may be a different number on yours. Play with it to see what numbers give you which diacritic.

    Eva is unlikely to be moved by such blandishments. She is a rare one, and a good trainer for young Liò.

    But I think it’s Liō (o with a macron), not Liò (o with an accent grave).

    How do i make this text bigger so it will be more seeable? Hmmm…. i could shout, i guess:

    I THINK IT’S LIŌ, NOT LIÒ
