wouldn’t that break the agitator or the liner of the washing machine? and, many washers are front loading, so rodeo won’t work.

A Plastic shim can override the safety lock mechanism
on old Maytag top loaders.The broom handle and the wash machine most likely will be broken on the spin cycle.
It might work on the delicates cycle but I wouldn’t
recommend it.
