Union attitude alright. Why should they bear the same burdens as everyone else? They are the protected class…protected on your dime, especially in the case of the corrupt public employee unions.

Growing up, I used to be anti-union. I’m now in my late 40’s and working a job I like, but for a company that is, in my opinion, abusing it’s power over the employees. The workers at a similar employer, on the other side of town, are unionized. They have better hours and more compensation (not enough to offset the cost for me to commute).
My wife works for The Home Depot. That’s a company whose employees desperately need to unionize.
Not all unions are good, but not all are bad, either. And they do serve a purpose.

There is power in a Union. The only institution that stands for the rights of the worker. Problems, yes, as in any large institution but an institution to be improved upon as opposed to abandoned. Don’t like unions? Join one and change it.

Usually that is the boss in the hot tub not the Unions. But without Unions we would still be working long hours with little pay. Oh the Cons are making sure that is being dispensed with.

Many people have tried to start unions and have been put down or fired en mass. It is very hard when companies get laws that are anti-union on the books.

Tell it brother! EVERYONE deserves a job that pays $20/hr with a guaranteed ten hours at time and a half every week! It’s only naked, greedy, elitism that says a man shouldn’t get that for pulling a lever for nine hours a day!

@ PRFC – Yeah, let’s go back to the sweat shops and company towns, company stores, 16 tons and all that. If the worker is abused by the 1% job creators that’s what he gets for not being smart enough to become one of the 1%. Either that or not smart enough to be born rich.
    Screw the unions.
