   But text walking does have some unique applications. For instance, it can be used to produce an interactive suicide note.

   If someone texts you, threatening to kill themselves, forgo the use of “OMG” as a reply and take remedial action. Text them to “Drop the phone and put your thumbs up.” The positive gesture will immediately alleviate their depression. That will allow you to share an LOL about the whole sordid mess in their newly discovered future.
