Although corny, the stone labyrinth could have been of maize…

    A-MAZE-ING!

Some may look and only see
a route to get from A to B.
But this box holds much more
    than your average kitchen drawer.

Creatures hide in the corridors and there’s a puzzle at every juncture,
And there are schemes that you can dream and no one else can puncture.

To go back to the Bard
    after oh so many days…
For this art, have high regard
because all the world’s a maze.

“You can’t miss it! First you take a right, then a right, then a right, then another right, then a right. After that — make sure you’re in the right lane — veer to the right . . .”

In spring I like to ponder
    While walking in a maze,
My thoughts and feet will wander
I might be gone for days.
    At last Stan comes to find me;
Up maze and down he’ll look.
    To rescue and remind me
    That someone has to cook.

Stan thinks this sounds bitter, but I do have to cook an awful lot around here.
