    Alright then… reminds me of how the old poacher would catch quail and pheasants by wrapping bird shot in cornmeal soaked in brandy and leave in out for them to eat.
    I’m sure you all can figure out the rest !

    Wouldn’t have to worry about lead in the meat. Pure lead, unlike it’s compounds, isn’t very bioavailable.

    Actually, with birds, the grinding in the crop causes lead oxidation and then the stomach acids – and that’s why waterfowl hunters have to use steel shot now, because the ducks were eating the shot that missed. :) Duck hunter – which way is north? Why? Gotta account for magnetic fields with this $$# steel shot!
